Outlook Mission Bay Project Update 13
Following the removal of the tower crane, one of the next milestones towards completion is to remove the scaffolding around the building. It’s exciting to see that a large portion of the building is now visible, and it should only be a couple of days until all is revealed.
The architects have used a combination of anodized fins and cylindrical ‘curtains’ running down the outside of the building to contrast against the concrete and glass and meet the ‘relaxed beachy feel’ brief that was given.
In the entrance lobbies, the first Ivory luccato floor tiles were laid yesterday, and the lighting team have been installing the recessed light wells that are built into the walls and ceiling.
Feature walls of chiselled Jura limestone will soon be installed to complete the look.
Inside the apartments in both the main tower and mews buildings it was great to see many kitchens with appliances now in place.
In the laundries the first Bosch washing machines and condenser dryers have been installed as well, including a handy pull out shelf between the machines to fold clothes on once they are dry.
The tilers and joiners have been doing a great job and their attention to detail is evident.
Over the coming months, the team will be applying the finishing touches to the exterior of the buildings, and there will be a lot of landscaping works with trees plants and shrubs being planted.
Inside the apartments, the craftsmen and women will continue working their way up the building installing the quality fixtures and fittings that the architects have specified.
It won’t be long until the the concrete for the entranceways and footpaths is poured, the team need clear weather to get this work completed so we are hoping for sunny skies soon.We are immensely proud of how Outlook has taken shape, it’s a credit to the wider team that it resembles the original artist impressions so closely.
