It’s not long until the apartments will start to have the interior finishes installed. The Clearwater Construction team continue to make great progress and if you live locally we’re sure you will have noticed the scale of the buildings increasing dramatically over the past few months.
We’re eager to share with you how one of our couples were able to secure their dream apartment at Outlook Mission Bay without needing to sell their own home to provide a cash deposit.
Since the last update, the builders have been busy lifting materials off the street and over the site offices. Most of the heavy lifting continues to be structural steel because the majority of concrete is pumped into the site rather than arriving as precast panels.
Following a long, warm and wet Summer, the Auckland weather decided to carry on with the moisture theme and Autumn saw record dumps of rain across the Auckland region in intense bursts. Luckily for the Clearwater Construction team, they had put the hard yards in to get the site excavated early so the bad weather didn’t impact progress as much as it could have.

The excavation of the basement levels has continued to steam ahead and there is currently a rather large hole situated on the northern side of Kepa Road. It’s astounding to think that we are only 14 months from projected completion!
It has been all go on-site as the last of the perimeter ‘soldier’ piles are completed, and the foundation screw piles are installed.
In the process of designing, selling and now building Outlook Mission Bay, we’ve discovered a passion for not only the building and all its personal touches, but also the area.
The piling rig has arrived!
The team from Hauraki Piling rolled on to the site last week, preparing for the install of the soldier piles that will retain the perimeter of the basement car park at Outlook Mission Bay.
One of the best ways to keep a project as big as Outlook Mission Bay on track is to use contractors you know and trust. Scarborough arrived on-site bang on time, clearing the way for the ‘site scrape’ – currently underway.
